Mike Groman
Mike is the President and founder of MJ Groman’s Weekend Outdoor Warrior Productions, Inc. Mike has always had a love for nature, photography and videography; so it was only a matter of time until he combined these hobbies into the company he is so passionate about to this day. With a background in biology, studying the behaviors and habits of the game he pursues, Mike was able to take it to the next level by reviewing countless encounters with game using his video camera. Analyzing the minutest detail fuels Mike’s fire like nothing else. A student of nature, Mike has continued to grow as an outdoorsman, and shows no sign of slowing down. Mike’s goal, and WOW Production’s mission is to provide high quality entertaining hunts with educational tips to benefit sportsmen and sportswomen of all ages and experience levels.
An accomplished pointing dog trainer, Mike is the proud owner/trainer of a NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association) Versatile Champion. A member of the local Shenango Chapter of NAVHDA, Mike acts as the coordinator of their mentor program. Mike will always claim the pursuit of whitetails has been and will always be his number one passion, especially with a bow. Mike is a certified International Bowhunter Education Foundation instructor, and truly enjoys the introduction of new archers into the sport. Mike’s hope is this and future WOW productions, educate and inspire new and veteran hunters alike.
Nick Pinizzotto has been an avid whitetail hunter for 25 years and has spent countless hours scouting, photographing, filming, and studying this great animal. He hunts almost exclusively with bow and arrow and prides himself on his ability to get up close and personal with mature bucks. He has harvested several Pope and Young class bucks in both Pennsylvania and Illinois, and practices Quality Deer Management on his property in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. He is a Level II Certified Deer Steward through the
Quality Deer Management Association and is also a certified International Bowhunter Education Foundation instructor and official trophy measurer for the Northeast Big Buck Club. Nick is the author of the popular hunting blog, Rub Lines, and was the original developer of Apparition hunting scents. He has been called upon on numerous occasions to give presentations on whitetail deer hunting and behavior.
Aleah is Mike’s oldest daughter and the youngest member of the WOW tribe. Her first experiences in the woods were listening for gobblers in the spring with her father at age 5. Her first gobbler and buck both came in the same year at age10.
It is not hard to see where she got her love of hunting and shooting from. Dubbed the most patient tribe member, she is mature beyond her years when sitting in the woods, with a focus like no other! Aleah is a talented and accomplished pistol shooter, competing in both Glock Shooting Sports Foundation and International Defensive Pistol Association matches along the East coast. With several 1st place and top two finishes in just her first year, you can see why she never misses on game.
Chris Sansom
Chris has been with WOW productions since the first day of filming six years ago. Known for his passion of hunting spring gobblers, Chris can still chase bucks with a bow with the best of them. Chris has an uncanny knack to be in the right place at the right time to harvest a buck in front of the camera. An accomplished predator trapper, Chris has a strong understanding of how animals utilize cover and terrain to move through their habitat. This knowledge pays off year after year when hunting the woods of Jefferson and Clearfield Counties for Pennsylvania bucks.
Nate Ritchey
Nate was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania and cut his teeth
hunting the woodlots of Jefferson County since the age of 16. His love for the great outdoors led him West, where he graduated from the Colorado Outdoor Adventure Guide School. Nate truly enjoys being present to watch and experience others harvest game and share in the excitement. Filming hunts was just a natural progression for Nate. Filming allows him to capture memories that can be relived over and over again, and learn from every encounter to improve his knowledge of animal behavior. His fondest memories stem from time spent hunting with his daughter. Look for Nate in upcoming productions.
Josh Noerr
The three most important things in Josh’s life are his faith, his family and hunting. Hunting is more than a hobby for Josh, it is a way of life. His passion for the outdoors began at an early age. Like his brother, Justin, Josh’s first experiences in the outdoors were with his dad. He began learning about all aspects of hunting from his dad long before he ever carried a gun or bow into the woods. Both of his parents have played a major role in Josh’s life and they
have made many sacrifices over the years to allow him to pursue his passions. Since those early years, Josh has learned that every trip to the woods can by very educational, regardless of the outcome. His number one passion is bowhunting whitetails, but he can be found chasing gobbling turkeys each spring. When Josh is not hunting, he is spending time with his wife, Robin, and their two boys, Mason and Logan. He is especially grateful to be blessed with such a supportive family and looks forward to passing on the outdoor lifestyle to his sons.
Justin Noerr
Hunting has been one of Justin’s passions ever since he was introduced to the outdoors by his father. Justin’s father has taught him a lot about the outdoors over the years, especially the ethics
that go along with being a sportsman. Justin enjoys all kinds of hunting, but he loves to bowhunt whitetails most of all. He started bowhunting at the age of 14 and has not missed and opportunity to go to the woods since. With a busy work schedule which can take him away from home and his baby daughter, finding time to spend in the woods can be difficult, but Justin always seems to find a way to capitalize on the time he can spare to be in the woods. Justin knows the importance of scouting and doing whatever he can to learn more about the sport he loves and animals he pursues when hunting time is at a premium.
Darren Zola
Darren got started in the outdoors at a young age, fishing with his father and grand-pap. It was at the age of 12 when his true passion began to take hold, whitetail deer hunting in Western Pennsylvania. Some early success as a young teen is what fueled his desire to spend as much time in the woods as he could; bow hunting was just an excuse to get a few more weeks afield and he hasn’t looked back since. Darren learned early about the ethics and camaraderie which comes along with hunting and to this day it is what keeps his desire strong.
He believes it is not about the harvest, but the friendships and stories which go hand in hand with the hunting experience. Darren has discovered as an adult, time to hunt gets more difficult to come by. Juggling family and job, the time spent afield is much more appreciated and rewarding. Darren has expanded his pursuit of game from chasing whitetails in Western PA, to hunting a variety of big game across North America and he hopes to capture his adventures on video, as part of the WOW tribe.
Kevin Merrow
Kevin was introduced to the outdoors at a very young age by his father, and
from his first steps into the woods, being outdoors became an obsession. In Kevin’s mind his season never ends; whether it is shed-hunting, scouting, hanging stands, daily shooting or moving trail cameras, preparations for hunting season is a year long commitment. For Kevin there is never a wrong time to be enjoying the woods! Kevin has added a balance to the WOW Tribe as a traditional archer, he strives to educate others in the art and ethics involved with primitive archery. When he is not in the woods, Kevin spends his time working hard to help others as a doctor of chiropractic. Kevin’s love of nature is equally shared by his wife Lindsay and together they are passing the traditions on, as Kevin’s father did, to their son Finley.
